Philippe Jabre, founder, CIO and CEO of Jabre Capital Partners, is a committed philanthropist. In 2001, he founded the Association Philippe Jabre, launching the non-profit with the mission of addressing the needs of underprivileged individuals in Lebanon and promoting access to higher education. Operating with a spirit of equality and non-discrimination, the Association Philippe Jabre provides financial aid to those in need, having awarded more than 3,000 university scholarships to date. This article will take a closer look at the Association Philippe Jabre and its impact in the fields of education and healthcare.

The Association Philippe Jabre fosters solidarity among people and organisations united by a common commitment to advancing social justice. Processing more than 500 scholarship applications annually, the non-profit provides scholarships and financial support to those studying towards a bachelor’s degree in Lebanon. The Association Philippe Jabre also finances post-graduate university degree studies both within Lebanon and abroad.

Over the years, the Association Philippe Jabre has forged strong working relationships with various institutions that share its values and vision, providing financial support to like-minded charities and associations as well as educational, medical, religious and cultural organisations.

The Association Philippe Jabre eases the strain for Lebanese families by financing school fees, thereby ensuring the right of all children to education. It provides two types of aid: one-time emergency support and continuing assistance until the family’s need diminishes.

In the medical world, the Association Philippe Jabre swiftly assists uninsured patients, providing funds for medicines and life-saving equipment, as well as financing medical procedures. It has an effective working relationship with hospitals and care providers across Lebanon, enabling it to provide quick responses in urgent cases.

In December 2025, Philippe Jabre spoke at the ‘Sunset Stories Executive Talk’ staged by The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). In his presentation, Mr Jabre discussed strategies for the resilience and reinvention of Lebanon. Organised by USEK’s Strategic Corporate Relations Office, the talk brought together prominent figures from the business community on the university campus, providing them with the opportunity to share their real-world insights with students and fellow delegates. Speaking in his capacity as chairman of Brasserie Almaza, Philippe Jabre shared his insights into the Lebanese brewing industry, providing valuable perspectives on how the leading Lebanese brand had navigated challenges, pivoting to such an extent it effectively reinvented itself. Described as an inspiring and insightful conversation, the session was a valuable platform for discussing applied leadership and strategy with the Lebanese talent of tomorrow.

As part of its ongoing commitment to instilling community resilience across the country, the Association Philippe Jabre recently completed a targeted relief mission in the Lebanese border villages of Debel, Rmeich and Ain Ebel. Operating in close coordination with the Lebanese Army, the organisation delivered 12 tons of essential food supplies to support local families during these challenging times.

To date, the Association Philippe Jabre has helped more than 5,000 people through the provision of medical aid, ensuring that patients without medical coverage can access treatment. Funds allocated by the organisation have been used to cover everything from the purchase of medicines and medical equipment to analysis, imaging, hospitalisation and surgery. Having established strong relationships with hospitals across Lebanon, the Association Philippe Jabre ensures that patients in need receive prompt, effective medical interventions.

Created to empower Lebanese communities for a brighter future, the Association Philippe Jabre is designed to meet the needs of the underprivileged, engaging fully in its mission by delivering vital financial aid to people in need with fairness and without distinction. It is officially recognised by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior.
