Relying on technology to keep entertained during a house move might not work out. Instead, you can unplug and be more productive with these four non-tech activities.

Have a Conversation

A good old-fashioned face-to-face could very well be what you need to get away from technology for a while. A conversation with a loved one or family member can benefit both parties as they will have a chance to connect and share their experiences. As an added bonus, you can talk about moving and what you intend to do after you’ve settled in.

Admire the Scenery

While moving to a J’Den condo you can look out the car and admire the views and scenery. A natural refresh can help relax and lower stress levels associated with moving. Plus, you can get your bearings and know which way to go and how to navigate new territory. Look out for parks and places of interest that you can revisit later on.

Help Out

This activity can be done pre, during, and post-move by anyone, including friends and family members. There will be many moving parts in a move, so your help will be more than welcome. Some of the things you can do include packing, securing boxes, making a list of items, and maybe even looking after a young one while the adults are busy.

Plan a Local Itinerary

A pen and paper with a short list of leisure to-do’s can help relax and ease the mind further. This time, you might need an app that can show you landmarks such as parks, restaurants, and places you can visit in J’Den. You can do this the old-fashioned way or the high-tech way using a note-taking app. In the same vein, gather as much important information as you can on essential conveniences, such as hospitals, schools, and malls, to name a few.
