Everyone can use a boost in their immune system every now and then. Doing this ensures you can work and do the things you want with little to no downtime. What many people don’t know is that it’s a multi-pronged approach and starts right in your Hudson Place Residences home. Try these four high-impact tips to get started.

Eat a Different Fruit and Veggie Daily

While the adage ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’, eating the same thing and expecting a stronger immune system is not the key to excellent health. Nature intended for us to consume not just one, but a variety of fruits and vegetables regularly. It’s important to note that each one gives us unique health benefits because they contain different vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Say No to Chronic Stress

We can’t escape stress, but we can do the next best thing, which is to manage it successfully. A body under prolonged periods of duress will have its system weakened and susceptible to illnesses. You should be aware when chronic stress is taking a toll and come up with ways to avoid it.

Sleep and Sleep Well

Getting 6-8 hours of sleep is no longer sufficient- you need to make sure that it’s quality rest. Your body undergoes a reboot every time you lie down, and it releases cytokines that can ward off inflammation and infection. Eliminate distractions in the bedroom and keep the temperature at a comfortable level. Reduce ambient and environmental noise as much as possible.

Set Aside Time for Enjoyment

All work and no play is no fun at all. Limit work to just 5 days a week- you should set leisure time during weekends and get some much needed rest and relaxation. Go do your favorite hobbies or discover a new one you might enjoy.
