There are now so many different internet casino games out there for you to play; you are spoilt for choice. This is also true for table games, such as roulette. You can play low-roller roulette, auto roulette, American, French, or European variants, and even high stakes roulette. The last option is an intriguing proposition. What does playing high stakes roulette mean for you, and what can it deliver to players at online casinos? Join us as we explore the topic today.

Higher Wagering Range

Of course, the most notable thing about playing high roller roulette online is that the stakes involved are a lot higher than you’re used to seeing. If a typical roulette game must cost you anything from $1 up to $100 a spin, you’re going to be looking at stakes of $10, $50, even $100 up to tens of thousands of dollars a spin here. This is big money stuff, and naturally, it isn’t for the faint-hearted or those without cash to burn.

Prizes Remain the Same

The next most important thing to note about high roller roulette is that the prices remain the same as conventional roulette games. They don’t happen to get higher just because you’re wagering more money. The same is true of most online casino games. The top prize (for a straight-up bet) will remain 35:1, whether you play with a penny per spin or a grand.

May Include Racetrack Bets

High roller roulette games can also include a few goodies thrown in that your nickel and dime roulette release may not. For instance, it is not uncommon to find roulette games that provide racetrack bets. These cylindrical betting options include French bets like Orphelins, Voisins du Zero and more. They also make it possible to “cover the wheel”, which can make playing high roller roulette very profitable if you know what you’re doing.

Often Includes La Partage and En Prison Rules

Two side bets can also make high roller roulette rather profitable. Well, perhaps, profitable is the wrong word. Less troublesome, then. These are the well-known La Partage and En Prison bets. We won’t detail them out in full here. Let us just say that when they are in play, you stand a chance of recovering half your bet back or using it to form your next wager, thus cutting the house edge. Playing high roller roulette with these bets can cut the house edge down to 1.35%, as opposed to the 2.7% European roulette house edge and the house edge of 5.25% in American roulette.

Is High Roller Roulette Worth it?

The big question is, is high roulette worth it? If you’re only interested in having a crack at roulette as a casual player, then we strongly suggest you don’t you with the idea. However, if you know your bets, have a good grasp of roulette strategy (as far as that goes in a game of chance), and learn how to cover the wheel with French bets (and have a sizeable bankroll), then high roller roulette could very well be the exciting alternative way to play that you’re looking for.
