People from all around the world are living incredibly hectic, fast-paced lives nowadays. When given a break to relax and enjoy, some would become restless or feel left in the dark and get a little stir-crazy, which is not good for both our physical and mental health (and can lead to burnout). Also, if you feel like you spend way too much time on a digital screen, this article will aid you a bit in tackling both your boredom and your screentime!

Workout

If you feel out of shape or just bored, then now’s the best time to focus on your physical health and get some exercise. Incorporate a 20-minute walk in your daily routine or go cycling in a nearby park from your Coastal Cabana home. You don’t need any equipment to start working out. Set realistic expectations for yourself and try to accomplish them, such as running half a mile or lifting something heavy 5 times.

Read Books

Instead of staring at your computer or phone all day, why not get lost in a book? Books can make great choices for tackling both boredom and technostress. Plus, there are countless types of books for everyone, including fantasy, sci-fi, horror, mystery, thriller, fiction, non-fiction, and more. It can be an audiobook too, without the distractions, and let it ignite your imagination!

Draw or Paint

One effective way to deal with boredom without the use of the internet is drawing or painting. These activities can help you express your artistic side. You can draw or paint on canvas, sketchbooks, watercolor or drawing paper, or do paint by numbers. Consider doing a DIY project like painting old furniture and other household items.

Journaling

Journaling about your experiences, daily reflections, and things you’re grateful for is cathartic. Sometimes, you have to express yourself and put it on something physical, using a pen and paper. Even though it may not get published and be sold at a famous bookstore, you’ll definitely feel better after releasing your thoughts!
